3D Photography, the world in 3D
3D Rides N Parks is an excellent, "action oriented" set of 3D photographs from various theme parks. The CD comes with a decent pair of 3D glasses you can use for viewing, and it's chock full of 290 high quality anaglyph images. I've known Ernie's work from his postings to my 3D Forum for several years- they are among the highest quality anaglyph (red/blue) 3D images I have seen. With this collection, he's raised the bar on what to expect from anaglyph 3D, the most widely viewable form of 3D presently.
Viewing the files is simple enough- just pop in the CD and open your file explorer of choice. Then, preview the first image, and then hit next as you go along. If you like faster performance from your computer (reading images one-by-one from CD can be slower), just copy them over to your hard drive, and you'll have a good time sequencing through the pictures, grouped by park.
Ernie uses a dual rig system, so action is frozen in space and time, people just hanging there in terrified suspension. And there are plenty of non-coaster 3D's as well, and plenty of people. Ernie knows 3D well, and he knows what works and what will wow the viewer.
If you like 3D, like theme parks, or better yet, like both, get this CD.

Screamscape News and Rumors. The ultimate guide to theme parks
It kind of goes hand in hand, but most theme park fans always perk up an ear when the subject of 3D is mentioned. It makes sense, as most of the top theme parks include one or more attractions that use 3D technology ranging from a 4D Theater presentation like Mickey’s Philharmagic to the use of larger than life 3D projection screens in the Adventures of Spider-Man. While most people can enjoy the benefits of 3D, there are very few people out there who have taken the time to learn how to create their own 3D images.
The Prototype, a CD-ROM collection of 3D images created from carefully shot still photography from inside some of your favorite theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Six Flags over Georgia, Dollywood, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Busch Gardens Tampa, Holiday World, Hard Rock Park and more. The images are wonderful and it’s clear that this project has been a labor of love for its creator, as the process to make even a single 3D image is a very time consuming process. This is obvious as The Prototype has been three years in the making.
This collection of “3D Rides N Parks” also comes with a pair of Red/Cyan 3D Glasses allowing you to view the images on virtually any computer screen, though an LCD monitor is considered to provide the best quality. There is also a collection of sample images on the official website that you can view or you can just buy your own copy of the CD plus the included 3D glasses for just $10.
